What We Believe

  • God is real.
  • God is bigger and better and closer than we can imagine.
  • God is eternally alive and at work, constantly and continually creating.
  • God is love.
  • The Bible is God's Word and the story of God's ongoing conversation with humanity.
  • From the beginning of time, God has sought to gather us all in as one.
  • Jesus is the Son of God, our Savior, and teaches us what a life of faith looks like.

  • Holy Spirit bears our thoughts, our sighs too deep for words, to God.

  • The single, defining truth of Christianity is God's radical forgiveness at Easter.

  • Grace is from God.  It is God's gift to us.  We cannot earn it.

  • Faith is our response to God.  Faith is not knowledge, it is belief.

  • Good and evil are real.  God asks us to continually choose good over evil.

  • We are meant to help one another.

  • The church was Jesus' idea.  It exists to carry on the work, the message and the love he began.
  • We can become more like Jesus.
  • We are guided by scripture, faith, reason and tradition.
  • Jesus is coming again.
