VACATION BIBLE SCHOOL IS COMING!

Dive into Operation Overboard! We'll be on an underseas journey and daring to dive deep with God as we hear stories about Noah, a servant girl, John the Baptist, the Disciples, and the Apostle Paul. Also, fun crafts, a great mission project, a cooking station, and as always awesome music and dance!

Dates: Monday, July 30- Friday, August 3

Time: 9:00 a.m. - noon (includes a bag lunch)

Cost: $5 per child donation ($15 for a family with 3 or more children)

Sunday Mornings:

9:00 am Adult Sunday School

10:00 am WORSHIP

10:00 am Sunday School: Preschool through 6th Grade

Children worship with their families until dismissed to their classes after the the Time for Young Disciples.

11:30 Confirmation (7th-8th Grade)

11:30 Youth Sunday School (9th-12th Grade)

Nursery care is available year round.

LOOKING TOWARD SUNDAY, MAY 20, 2012

I have a visual treat for you and an opportunity for you to feel really inspired, even if "ascension" is not a word you use everyday!

Also, communion! For some, the Lord's supper is always deeply meaningful but there are times for others when those deeper meanings escape the searching heart. For you, I offer again six words that may help.

Any one of them may be all you need at the moment of communion.

Once again, those words are:

1. thanksgiving

2. fellowship

3. remembrance

4. sacrifice

5. Holy Spirit

6. escahatology

Hope that helps! That last one is a little tricky but it has to do with God's ultimate victory at the end times.

Communion foreshadows the heavenly feast mentioned in Matthew 22:2 and Revelation 19:9.

All are welcome at Christ's table.
